Mr. Klaus-Heiner Lehne Assumes Post as ECA President

Mr. Klaus-Heiner Lehne assumed his post as the 11th President of the European Court of Auditors October 1, 2016, for a renewable three-year term. Mr. Lehne, a German national, became a Member of the European Court of Auditors in 2014 and has been responsible for audits in the area of external action. Born in Düsseldorf, Germany, in 1957, he has served as a Member of the German Parliament (Bundestag) and European Parliament, including positions on several parliamentary committees.
