Juni 2019 zum Comptroller &amp; Auditor General (C&amp;AG) des Vereinigten K\u00f6nigreichs ernannt. Vor seiner Ernennung zum C&amp;AG war er Head of Public Services bei Mazars, einer globalen Wirtschaftspr\u00fcfungsgesellschaft, die auf Wirtschaftspr\u00fcfungs-, Steuer- und Beratungsdienstleistungen spezialisiert ist. Zuvor war er Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer der Audit Practice der UK Audit Commission. Seine Erfahrung umfasst Finanz- und Preis-Leistungs-Pr\u00fcfungen, Organisationsf\u00fchrung und Vorstandsf\u00fchrung. Er wurde 2014 vom Senat zum Minister des Rechnungshofs ernannt. Innerhalb der INTOSAI ist er derzeit Vorsitzender des Verwaltungsrats, Vorsitzender des SCEI und stellvertretender Vorsitzender des PSC und Mitglied des OLACEFS-Verwaltungsrats. Er besitzt einen Doktortitel und einen Master-Abschluss in Rechtswissenschaften von der P\u00e4pstlichen Katholischen Universit\u00e4t von S\u00e3o Paulo und ist Gastforscher an wichtigen Forschungszentren, n\u00e4mlich der Universit\u00e4t Paris 1 Panth\u00e9on-Sorbonne, dem Max-Planck-Institut in Luxemburg und der Cardozo-Schule of Law, in New York. Er ist Professor an der Staatlichen Universit\u00e4t von Rio de Janeiro und in Master- und Doktorandenprogrammen der Get\u00falio Vargas Foundation und der Universit\u00e4t Nove de Julho. Juli 2020 zur Generalrechnungspr\u00fcferin der Republik Kenia ernannt. Au\u00dferdem ist Frau Gathungu stellvertretende Vorsitzende von AFROSAI-E und Vorsitzende des technischen und institutionellen Kapazit\u00e4tsaufbauausschusses der AFROSAI ist zertifiziertes Mitglied und Trainerin des Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) und Mitglied der Association of Women Accountants in Kenya (AWAK), wo sie junge Buchhalterinnen betreut. Sie verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Handelswissenschaften, einen MBA und strebt derzeit einen Doktortitel (PhD) in Betriebswirtschaftslehre (Strategisches Management) an. Innerhalb der INTOSAI ist er derzeit zweiter stellvertretender Vorsitzender, Vorsitzender des PFAC, Co-Vorsitzender des IDSC und Vorsitzender der ARABOSAI und Mitglied des ASOSAI-Verwaltungsrates. Er ist au\u00dferdem Vorsitzender der Arab Confederation for Institutes of Internal Auditors sowie des Saudi IIA Board of Directors und Mitglied des IIA Global Board of Directors. Er erhielt seinen Doktortitel in Rechnungswesen und Finanzmanagement von der University of Essex Gro\u00dfbritannien im Jahr 2000. Im Jahr 2008 wurde er zum ordentlichen Professor der King AbdulAziz University in Saudi-Arabien bef\u00f6rdert, wo er als Dozent und akademischer Wissenschaftler sowie als Dekan der Fakult\u00e4ten f\u00fcr Wirtschaft und Verwaltung sowie f\u00fcr Recht t\u00e4tig war. Nach seiner akademischen Laufbahn wurde Dr. Alangari von 2013 bis 2016 zum Mitglied des saudischen Parlaments, des Ash-Shura-Rats, ernannt und fungierte dort sowohl als stellvertretender Vorsitzender
